Sheza Alibi makes history in the Makybe Diva
Peter Moody’s mare won by 2¾ lengths, the first mare to win the race since it became a Group 1.

Sheza Alibi, trained by Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman and ridden by Luke Nolen, won the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes over 1600 metres at Flemington on 12 September.
Autumn Boy was second and Another Wil third. On the same card Shockletz won the Archer Stakes and a golden ticket into the Melbourne Cup.
The stable is aiming at the $10 million Golden Eagle at Randwick, though the Cox Plate has not been ruled out. “We’re still geared towards the Golden Eagle,” Coleman said.
