The private villa is the new suite
From Freycinet to the Central Coast hinterland, Australia’s most exclusive new stays come with their own pool.

Australian luxury is moving out of the tower and into the villa. In December, Saffire Freycinet in Tasmania opens the Jewell, a three-bedroom private villa with its own infinity pool facing The Hazards.
At Mount White, on the NSW Central Coast, Grand Saddles Lodge is planning 20 private villas, each with a plunge pool, around a communal infinity pool above the bush.
In Victoria, Levantine Hill Hotel in the Yarra Valley will open 33 suites set partly into the hillside, with a 1.5-kilometre sculpture walk. On the Southern Ocean near Warrnambool, the Yumakiah Coastal Retreat offers three off-grid residences.
